If you follow me on other sites, you probably don’t! But I think it’s time I resurrect this site!
So what’s been going on?
Well, the last year or so has been really tough, to say the least. As many of you know, I graduated with my Master’s in 2022, but then life did not pan out as planned. “Ain’t that just the way.” To get really personal here (it is my blog after all…), this time has been spent wading through life, figuring out what the plan is for myself, and surviving some mental health episodes. It’s hard enough to answer the “what am I going to do with my life?” question, and navigating ADHD, an anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder does not make that any easier.
But, as always, horror has been my home. So out of this darkness, I have been working on a few projects! Again, if you have been following me on social media, you have probably heard all about it but here are some extra reminders…

JoBlo Horror Originals
I now write video essays for JoBlo Horror Originals on Youtube! Recent films I have covered include Black Swan, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and Event Horizon (and RIP to my Raw essay being held in YT purgatory…). Here’s a playlist of what has been published so far, but there is more to come!! This has been such a fun venture and quite a challenge to adapt my writing style into a format that works for the channel, so please go show these videos some love!

Yes, I have a few other writing endeavors that I will announce soon (once things are published and I have links to share).
Because the Siren Death Cult has been dormant, I will be retroactively adding in posts in order to populate the site with everything that I’ve been working on during this period.
